MELISSA RIOS, PA-C

Melissa Rios, a certified physician assistant, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Biology.  After receiving her certification in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Pan American, she continued her studies and received her Masters degree with a concentration in Research.

Melissa spent some time as a volunteer at a hospital in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico assisting in the departments of Neurology, Oncology and Emergency Medicine.  She continued her volunteer work at St. David’s Medical Center, where she served as a Spanish interpreter.Melissa is currently certified in CPR/AED and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is currently a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
